Ocean safety
Fundamentals of surfing (paddling, popping up, catching and riding waves)
How to identify tides, rip tides, wind direction and swells
What We Will Learn
Ocean Knowledge and Safety: Tides, Surf Conditions, Wave Selection, Identifying Riptides
Warm up exercises: Yoga, Deep Stretching, Mobility, Cardio warm ups
Surfing: Types of waves, Paddling, Body Mechanics, Form, Catching and Riding Waves
Sample Schedule
Start of Session Parents drop-off/ Warm up/Beach Games
15 minutes into session: Land and Ocean Safety Instruction
30 minutes into session:: Surf Time!!
1:30 hour into session: End of Surf Session
1:45 hour into session: Review of session, packing
End of session Parents pickup time

WHAT TO BRING
Swimsuit, rash guard, water bottle, hefty lunch, snacks, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and towel
WETSUIT
We recommend the warmest wetsuit available (long arms and long legs) for the kids sessions. Kids get easily cold and being cold while surfing is not fun!! CANCELLATION POLICY
-Cancellations for refunds must be made 72 hours before scheduled camp date starts
-All cancellations requests incur a $40 admin fee
-No refunds or makeups for missed days
-If cancellation is on our part you will be given the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund
Digital Files
If you would like to request the files of the surf clips+surf pics of your child please Venmo $25 @sd_learnhowtosurf with your child’s name. Allow 2-3 business days for digital delivery of files
