Kids Summer Surf Camp

Dates: June 2- Aug 8

Half Day a.m. session: 9am-1pm

Half Day p.m. session: 1pm-5pm

Ages: 5-18

Locations: Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and La Jolla Shores

All our camp sessions include use of foam board.

Wetsuits are not provided.

You are welcome to bring your own or we can arrange rentals at the beach.

What We Will Learn

Ocean Knowledge and Safety: Tides, Surf Conditions, Wave Selection, Identifying Riptides

Warm up exercises: Yoga, Deep Stretching, Mobility, Cardio warm ups

Surfing: Types of waves, Paddling, Catching and Riding Waves

Sample Schedule

Start of Session Parents drop-off

30 minutes into session: Games and intro to peers

45 minutes into session: Intro circle, ocean, surf and safety instruction for the day

one hour into session: Wave check, warm up and sand lesson

one and a half hour into session: Surf instruction

two hours into session Recap of what we learned

two and a half hours into session: Packing up

End of session Parents pickup time
